Hey there

I've noticed that there are some mighty nice people registered on this forum. Wouldn't it be neat to meet?

Was thinking it would be swell if a bunch of us could get together for a quick getaway somewhere, seeing as so many of us have similar interests, just to sit back and shoot the breeze over a few drinks in balmy, relaxed setting. Something fairly inexpensive, not too far away, where the skies are not crowded with skyscrapers.

I figure its fairly easy to set up: Just post if you're keen, give us an idea of the weekend dates that you're free, tell us if you're bringing the kids (please!), and make us aware of any eccentric habits you might have so we can room people with minimal catfighting. Or everyone gets their own chalets...simple as that. Once we've got it all together, we'll message everyone, collect the dues, grab the tickets and away we go!

I'll start first to get the ball rolling - being the spontaneous nutter that I am, I can leave for a 2 day/1 night trip on the weekends beginning Sat 28th May (next weekend!), June 4th, June 11th, or July 2nd.

Anyone else game?

If I qualify, I'd be interested to come along?

Just as long as people have the freedom to do their things and maybe gather at night for dinner and drinks, or hangout together during day as well, I think this is a nice opportunity to meet and have fun.

My suggestion, Bintan, mana mana beach huts?

And I was aiming for Mana Mana too....love the laid back atmosphere there....I'd love to check out the beach party they have on saturday night. the last time I was there, We left on Saturday evening, so we didn't get to experience it.

I can't make it on 28th may, but the other dates are ok for me! were u referring to Bintan? never been there though been in sg for a long time now! would love to join.. as Eric mentioned, if I qualify.

Okay, list the dates you definitely can make it, so we can poll for the best dates to go. Currently, 11th June and July 2nd are looking good....

I could do this. I'd like to play a round of golf somewhere (Bintan Lagoon?), then spend the evening eating and drinking... maybe rent some motorcycles on Sunday for a personalized tour.

A few weeks out would be good. You let us silver haired younger guys in on such trips?

My free time would be these weekends: 28th May, 11th Jun, 25th Jun, 9th July... prefer thailand or malaysia, indonesia is ok too.
