What will you show a friend who is coming here to visit?

Jurong Bird park, The zoo, Botanic Gardens, Santosa, in fact there is more than enough to keep occupied, every MRT stop is worth a visit. I just had a mate over for 3 weeks, and we went out every single day, It's really hard work and one is to knackered to go out at night afterwards.

Little India, Arab St, Chinatown
Eat at UDMC East Coast
Go to Zoo or Night Safari
Eat at Hawker Center - lau Pu Sat or Newton Circus
Take a bumboat ride in the river and hang out at the bars at Boat or clarke quay

I have been accused not to track my threads and that would include forgetting to say thank you for people who kindly replied to my questions or giving suggestions, but having heaps of posts already which are noticable apparently, I don't want to stand out either, bugger, what to do?

Anyways, this friend is an American who has been living in Japan for a long time. So probably something that is unique to Singapore or at least can't be found in US nor Japan would be fancy... Or something related to music cos he's a guitarist and we used to be in a band for charity.
Might bring him to the accoustic band places...

Do please keep the suggestions coming if anybody can think of anything else.

For a good places to eat try any of the eateries in Chjimes, Insomnia there has a live band after 11pm at weekends. Tourist stuff like Orchard rd shopping, Sentosa, Little India, Bugis Market etc seemed to keep my friends amused when they were here for a long weekend. Boat and Clarke Keys are good for eating and drinking after a hard days sight seeing.

Is Gelang special enough for your friend ??

And Water Laser show in Sentosa on Sunday evening ??

I knew there is a nice place for western food like dory, steak, spaghetti, pizza, lasagne & etc. It is located at Orchard Plaza on the first floor facing the main road. It is named Seashell Bistro. Even those foreigners who tried the Dory set, they loved it. So are the locals. I like the pepper steak comes with some fries & coleslaw - it is not spicy, just nice.

Reckon Night Safari is the best attraction in Singapore!

Also, perhaps you could take your friend to Sunday Champaign Brunch! I took a Japanese who lives in the US and loves food to Hyatt for Brunch. She said there was nothing like that in the States and loved it! You can spend half day there. Other hotels do good ones too. Need reservation.

When fiance's Swedish friends who are living in Hong Kong came down for a weekend to visit, we took them to Little India for dinner. Then the next day, the guys went off to Fort Canning to have a look at the battle box while the girls went shopping. For dinner, we went to Equinox and then to Raffles Hotel for the mandatory Singapore Sling (I know, so touristy).

For kids, you should bring them to Sentosa or Zoo/ Night Safari.

Orchard Towers!! A bit sleazy? Yes. But i went there for the 1st time last month (after being here for 9 months) and found it was really fun. The place I went to is called Top 10 and the girls there (most of them working girls) had the most incredible bodies you could imagine...
