hi,
i am asking this for a friend. He is a 24 years old korean who wishes to move to Singapore. But the main big problem he is worry about is the houses and job.

um..he does not speak english (maybe just very very basic ones). He think there will be difficulties for him to find a job in SG. He is currently working as web designer in Korea. However,he did not grad from university.

AS for the houses part, he will be staying alone. And he hope to look for a cheap one.

is there any place/ or any one... who i/he can ask for help?i mean...those like customer service for koreans..or something like that?

thanks~~~

cheers,
wendy

there are dime a dozen web designers in singapore. i am one! so, it depends on what sort of income is he looking at.

can barely speak english, thats another problem.

cheap acco may not be that much of an issue.

however, he needs a lot of luck to get by with his sort of credentials.

why does he want to make this move?

So, in summary, you're trying to convince some Korean guy that you met on the internet that he has a viable chance of moving here, when you know he hasn't a snowball's chance in hell.

Maybe if he only spoke Chinese. Maybe. But, Korean? Useless outside Korea. Even Korean CSR's working in regional order processing/customer service centres here have to speak English because that is what the rest of the company uses.

Hi There,
If he is intending to work in Singapore he need to apply for work permit, this can be obtained from the Singapore embassy in your home country. You can ask the personnel over there for more details. On the other hand, there are several web site under job column " seeking job in overseas ", try looking into this web site from yahoo and you can obtain some information and ideas for him which industry he is looking for in Singapore. If you face any problem please do drop me a mail

Cheer!
