Hi,
We are planning to move from the US to Singapore. In the state where we reside, the state-funded elementary schools generally have a start to finish cycle from August to May. I wish to know when the academic year for primary (state-funded) schools begin & end in Singapore ?
Regards,

Hi ,
The academic year starts in january and end by december.if you are planning a school for you children, you may need to get the admission atleast 6 months before here.Otherwise very difficult to get into the good schools.

At what age does a child enter primary? MOE's website assumes that you know this because I sure can't find it.

Can a child enter early if they are more advanced?
Thanks

The first year of primary school (P1) is the year that a child turns seven. They take classes on a calendar year, so next years P1 class are all children born in 1999. I don't imagine they will budge at all on this.
