Can anyone recommend a good hair salon around the Orchard Takashimaya with English speaking stylists? I went to a couple of them and it was really difficult to explain how I wanted my hair cut and styled.
Thanks.

You should try out Toni & Guy Salon at Heeren Orchard. Call & book Venson Ong for appointment. He is a real pro & absolutely no problem in speaking, explaining in English. Email: [email protected]

For your information, the average Singaporean's English is not much better.

hi there,

i so know what you mean! i had a hard time trying to find a decent hairdresser when i first moved here over a year ago (i'm from oz)....

first i tried a couple of salons in holland v, but they got the big thumbs down in my books.

THEN i came across The Hairsmith and have had Arthur doing my hair there for this past year. I would recommend him and the salon very highly. At last! someone that knows how to cut western hair! hehe

Great salon and No probs whatsoever communicating. (they even get my aussie slang)

They are located at Tudor Court, you know the tudor style shops right next to Tanglin Mall?

Good luck!

:D
