Singapore Expats

Hi,
Please help, it's my daughter's 6th birthday next month and we have only just moved to Singapore. Any advise on entertainers or where i can hold my daughter's party if we decide not to have it at home?

3 things needs to be arranged. Place, Catering, and entertainment.

Common places...
Pavillion at the children's playground at the zoo. catering by KFC.

Function halls of places like clubs like SAFRA, SPANS, and condos. Can also do it at those ball playareas at United Sq, SAFRA Toa Payoh. The banquet dept will arrange for the food, but entertainment is self sourced.

Macdonalds at King Albert Park, etc

Personally, I prefer places with aircon, and tons of nearby parking.

I recently did mine at the Mt Faber branch of Pure Eddiction. They arranged everything from invitation cards, entertainment, food.. even the goodie bags. Just need to show up.

Nope.. the cafe had their own recommendations and contacts, we were provided with a magician who went by the name of Mr Funny.

You can have the party at big splash down east coast road. THe kids can have fun playinggames and endless swimming after that.

Yoongf, I know you mean well. But in the spirit of responsible parenting that has recently been discussed on other threads, is it possible that this is a little too much for a 6 year old? I'm wondering what a party will be like for a 12 year old if you 'set the bar' so young at such an early age.

Anyway.. being a kiasu local raising a little emporor.. it seems to be the norm among the peers. But there are indications to suggest that once the kid start Pri Sch, such parties are not in vogue from then on.

Realize I'm probably too late on this one, but what about having a pool party at your condo. Our neighbours have had children's parties with guests told to bring their togs. Play Pass the parcel, Pin the tail, any simple games, swim & simple eats. Depending of course of how many children you're having. The adults can also sit & chat if they want.
