I know this might sound stupid, but I want to know what is SAP,and how to learn it?
and what is the difference with SQL?
I know that SAP is using Oracle as engine database, and SQL is an engine database, so can you use SAP with SQL?

can anyone please give me information about what is SAP ang the use of it.

SAP is an ERP, MRP, Financial Accounting software made by SAP. It contains modules for materials management, inventory etc. It can store data is many databases (Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL Server etc.).

It is a highly complex set of software modules that requires very intricate knowledge of programming, database scripting and understanding the functional nature.

Honestly, my friend, if you are unable to distinguish the fundamentals between SAP and databases, you might want to reconsider learning SAP. SAP professional are highly qualified programmers and experts with YEARS of experience in implementing an SAP solution which typically costs 10's of millions of dollars and close to 100's of millions of dollars.

Honestly though... Have you tried a google search? You would have gotten boatloads of information on SAP.

And coming to the point of learning and making a royal living, I bet SAP is the best ladder to climb. SAP is like an elephant and to make the Elephant to listen and play, one shud be well trained and ofcourse he will be payed very well!! Alas on the contrary to learn SAP one has to shell down just 13,200 SGD only!! Otherwise search for a best South Indian friend for a quick short cut learning!!! Since one astounding truth which may sound wierd to all is that the World Class SAP professionals are Indians and South Indians in particular. Thats the reason SAP has established their second largest development and design centre in South India.

Make a faster and wiser decision since now SAP market is very very hot. And strike the rod when its HOT then it will bend and design as you wish!!

As many businesses have found, it is far from "perfect". They spend millions to buy the base software, and guess what? They have to spend milllions more customizing it because it won't do what you need.

Yes, a lot of large companies have SAP... and Oracle bought PeopleSoft to compete in the market. But a lot of companies are realizing the dangers and tremendous expense of getting sucked into either "solution" and are looking at multiple alternatives that integrate flexbile packages together from multiple vendors.

that's called best-of-breed solution. for sure, when scaling up, BOB solutions will introduce complexity of both manageability and technicality.

otoh, oracle and other vendors want to introduce to you vendor lock-in, where you only do their software in your enterprise environment.
