Welcome belle - a good place to meet people from all over (not just the US) is the wednesday night drinking clubs - WNDC - there's a separate thread on where each Wednesday. Of course you have a right to want to bond with your countrymen and women while in SG but I would encourage you to take advantage of the city's diversity and meet folks from other places, as well as Singaporeans. I had the same experience when I lived in NYC years ago and it was a special part of the city for me.

I do socialise with some cool people I've met on this board, feel free to pm me if you want to come with. Would be good to give me an idea of what your interests are too.

Hi, I just moved here from Washington, DC and am interested in meeting people, too. Where is the WNDC going to held this week? Sounds like a good way to meet people.
