First there was the WNDC, then the SADC now the ECDC! =P~

After speaking to quite a few members of the WNDC there was a number of you that found it hard coming in and out and back into town on a Wednesday if they lived on the East Coast.

Not wishing to step on the WNDC toes the ECDC will initially be held every other Thursday; the first one being held next week at a venue to be confirmed closer the time.

Initially we are just testing the water for interested people! If it is popular then other east coast events will follow such as regular tennis, bowling and volleyball meetings.

Havn't been to WNDC but events near where I live definately sounds good!

Especially when I see there are sport events such as volleyball!!!!

Been rollerblading and cycling in east coast park. And I heard that the pubs there also open till late in night.

East Coast rules.... 8)

Fantastic move, love it! Us east coasters are so cool, laid back and relaxed, couldnot be better! (*arrogant eric*) 8)

I keep tracking this thread, if I may be part of this.

East Coaster too here, a sports lunatic and music fan. Count me in volleyball games. Sentosa is too far for a lazy bum who has no driver, so it could be cool that we play volleyball near our doors, and when commander calls, at least I can rush home in a short time
Cheers!

Whoaaaaaaaa!! Sounds great; I've been looking out for East Coast buddies for some time. Count me in -- except that I won't be able to make it this week and will be away for three weeks beginning Saturday.

East coasters - be sure to attend the birth of the ECDC!

The launch of ECDC is on this Thursday at Bernies BFD on the beach at EAST COAST RECREATION CENTRE.

It will be from 8pm onwards. If you intend to come please PM me and I'll give you my HP No. so you know who I am!

As its a beach bar I propose we wear the proper atire of shorts (grass skirts optional), Hawaiian shirts (coconut bikini top optional) and flip flops (thongs)! Remember this is East Coast not town!

http://www.eguideglobal.com/sg/vmap.asp ... _id=158858

Its a fairly chilled out beach bar with a band and pool table so will be a good place to meet and be merry! From what I see the East Coasters are a different breed from all the others!

Look forward to seeing you all there.

You mean, Conker, you are thinking of having a BBQ there too? Actually, it would be a good idea to just meet for a BBQ rather than (only) drinks in the bar..... maybe something for a future event? Or is it too much hassle to prepare things on a working day?
Well, I will lend my support this event, as I live a mere 5 min bike ride away.
cheers

Evening BBQ sounds like a good idea. A good possibility for the next one! Never had a BBQ on the east coast - out of interest does anyone know how to rent one for the evening?

Other suggestions welcome...

So far these have been some of them:

Chilli Crab night
Beach games day/night (boule, volleyball, sand sculpture comp etc.)
Pool Competition
Skinny Dipping

...er actually the last one wasnt suggested. I guess we see how Thursday goes!
