You have to get a law degree with the Accredited Universities in the UK, Australia, Canada, NZ, Hong Kong, or Malaysia.

Kindly note that external part time study degrees even from UOL are NOT accepted for admission. Neither are accelerated 2 year fulltime LL.B courses nor certain dual degree courses.

If you do a UK degree you will then have to sit the Bar Exams in the UK AND come back and do the challenging Diploma of Singapore Law (fulltime 1 year course at NUS) - providing you get a second class Upper honours degree;

After that you will need to get admitted to the Board of Legal Education for the Singapore Bar exams (PLC - Postgraduate Law Course) - 6 months full time - you may get an exemption from the bookkeeping paper if you have professional accounting qualifications;

After the PLC you will be required to do a 6 month Pupillage attached to a pupil master in a Law Firm in Singapore. Pupil's wages vary from $500 to $1.5k a month.

Then you get called to the Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor.
