Does anyone know how long it takes for approval of a business name once you submit your details online? I'm looking at setting up an IT related business here and I applied last night for my business name and at the moment it says that it's been referred. No where does it state how long you need to wait until approval has been granted. Thanks for the help.

I guess that I answered my own question. Once you pay your $65 it's approved usually within hours. I now have a registered company name here in Singapore. What a great feeling!

Are you local? I registered mine in the ACRA office and will took a week to be approved. I paid $103 for a week's processing as well .

WOW! It took you one week and you paid $103? Why so much? No, I'm not a local, I'm from America and I did mine all online via the Acra website and paid only $65 to register my company name. Once I paid via credit card, it was approved immediately and I was granted my business registration number. Total time it took was only about 15 minutes. What are you trying to do that it costs so much? Please do tell.

nowadays, acra is fully online, registration is fast because they just want you to pay up faster, they are also pro business, so the faster you register your company, the faster they receive a fee.
