Singapore Expats

Hi!

I’m 25 year old guy who come from Stockholm, Sweden.

I’m looking for work in computer graphics design and will travel to Singapore in January to seek employment.
I have studied computer design 3 years at university level here in Sweden. I have work experience in both commercial and the TV industry.

I’m experienced in the following fields:
3D (modelling/animation), Postproduction (Visual Effects, Composition, Motion Graphics, Editing) and related fields like: broadcast design, graphic/print design, film theory/storyboard.

Is it possible to find work in Singapore? If so, where do i search?
I would be greatful for any tip....

I suppose you can start by googling for singapore job sites along with your skills as keywords. But I suspect no one is going to take you seriously until you appear at their doorstep with your laptop. Be prepared for rock bottom salary offers because there are lots of graphics people looking around for work.

ah ok, well its not about the money for me so thats ok. Just hope I can afford to rent a small appartment and maybe buy som food, he he

No worries, Karl. Living costs in Singapore is very manageable as long as you have a job. Food especially is cheap and they are everywhere. A decent food centre meal can be had for US$2. Good luck!
