Dear All,
Heez, I emailed my resume but did not get a reponse from them. Think I did not meet the requirement of 160cm that's why they did not reply me. I'm only 158cm.
At 1st I also find it quite weird as need to travel until KL for the interview. Anyone went??

Ah, do you really think that not meeting a major requirment might have been the reason . . . ?

Ah, do you really think that not meeting a major requirment might have been the reason . . . ?
Actually I'm not very sure of the main reason why they did not send me an invite for the interview but I do reckon this is the main reason. They are just the recruit agency and once one of the requirement of the candidate is not met, I don't think they will pass my resume to the airline. It will be a waste of time for them, I think.

Keep in mind that these agencies have very many potential candidates on their books and if one stated pre-requisite is not met then they will simply send in the CV's for the ones that do meet the criteria.
Chin up and keep on with your life - being an FA is not that brilliant/glamorous - think of constantly having oily hair, sore feet, varicose veins, jetlag, dry skin, middle-ear infections ... and the list goes on.
With the budget carriers you don't even get to see the countries you fly to, and the money is not great - why on earth would you set your dreams to this job? So your friends can be all impressed?

Vaucluse has made some very valid points about those things that too many on this forum never think about, namely the negative aspects of being a flight attendant.
Whenever I have been at the airport, I have noticed there is always one or more of the girls in the doctors waiting area and I think that tells you something. However, the attraction for a great many is the opportunity to travel but ask yourself; do you really see the countries you go to? How much fun would it be flying to New York in the depths of winter? Chances are you and your colleagues would spend two days 'holed' up in the hotel only to fly back with a plane of real grumpy passengers. Even return flight can be a real pain. For example if you leave London on SQ319 (I hate this flight) you are flying through the night working a night shift - the most unpleasant I assure you having worked nights myself. Then come your day off - you will be asleep most of it and won't be able to sleep come the night. With that kind of interruption to your regular pattern it will take a few days, yes days to get back to normal. Stress is not uncommon among flight attendants. Some I have spoken to say they find the job tiring and I suspect many despite the 'close-knit' community can and do find themselves feeling very lonely at times. How comfortable can you be in a country that is not your own? Fine when you visit but the flight attendants are making one hell of a lot of visits. Personally I think this is a job only any good for many women who eventually wish to settle and produce a family, for three years - not that long. Just a few thoughts on the negative there are more.
Really hope you have success and satisfaction elsewhere if that is what you choose.

Etihad Airways???not so familiar as well...just made some research in the internet...the hq is in abu dhabi...and have a quite few routings to ca and eu...but read also some customers' feedback re the airline...well not so good remarks...mamom wrote:wat air line? can tell me more?
