Hi folks -

I'm a filmmaker and thought that this might be a good alternative
for those w no plans on Feb14:

The Substation Moving Images presents
3rd Singapore Shorts Film Festival
Theme: Connect-Disconnect

(there will be a short intermission after the talk) $5 / $4 concession

Screenings:
1. Closer Apart
Directed by Victric Thng / 2005 / Singapore / 13 min
A roomful of strife. A bagful of doubts and dispute. A pair of young lovers found themselves in a strangled relationship, only to realize that sometimes to be apart is for the need to feel closer.

2. Romeo Can Wait
Directed by Cheng Xiao Xing / 2004 / France / 21 min
A young farmer was requested by his grandmother to go to the city. There, he was supposed to watch a movie and tell the story to her when he returns. But he lost his money.

Directed by Lautaro Nunez de Arco / 2004 / Argentina / 12 min

4. G-23
Directed by Anthony Chen / 2005 / Singapore / 19 min

6. Diary: 14th June
Directed by Derrick Loo / 2004 / Singapore / 14 min
A story about a girl coping with the belief that her father had abandoned her. When she became much older, a chanced meeting with a postman casted doubt on this belief, which sent her off in search of the resolution she had been hoping for.

7. Where We Live
Directed by Jogn / 2005 / Singapore / 2 min
Where We Live offers a glimpse of Singapore life condensed into a 2 minute montage of the everyday Singaporean, living, breathing, going to work, a mundaneness characterized by the beauty of motion that is everyday life.

*There's a nice place behind called TIMBRE - where we can meet for a quick bite first b4 going for the screening

Hi all -

The films are short films - and some of them are not commercially friendly - so you need to be kinda 'prepared' and open to the films/stories from them...
Some may be great - others experimental - but overall - it'd be a great experience!
So - maybe let's get a confirm list going:
1. Me!
