Please Help...
I have hackers visited my computer, manupulated email as if I sent emails but I have not. They got access into my Fee email based email accounts and manupulated as if I sent the email, even the IP address has been modified.
Is it really possible?
How could they get access into my email sent out from my IP address as if I sent from my own computer? I am stunned.

Anyone? How can I hide my IP or prevent such case of theft?

Sounds like you've got a worm... very unlikely that a hacker is actively trying to destroy you by hacking into your computer and sending emails.

Have you received an email with an attachment recently? If so, did you open that attachment? If so.. that's the source of your worm.

My suggestion... get some antivirus software! Also.. if you're running Windows XP, you should install Service Pack 2 and make sure the firewall service is turned on... that'll stop any nasties from getting into your computer.

Did you say download "spybotter"- where can I download this.. (to clean off any possible ad-wares and worms..)as well as Ghost surf 2005.

And could it be possible for specific competitor is trying to sabotage the project?
Is it technically to do that?

It's just a worm.

1. Download spybotter. Try a search on google.

2. Download Windows SP2. It's free from Microsoft. Make sure your firewall service is turned on. SP2 will automatically show you how to do that.

3. Get antivirus software. A free software can be found at: www.free-av.com

4. Don't open attachments in your email unless you know exactly what it is.

Make sure you set your computer to recieve microsoft security updates automatically (if you are using windows of course) Make sure you have only one firewall active if you intend using one (using two causes them to cancel each other out).

If you use Microsoft Word the updates need to be downloaded seperately.

Don't forget to run a scan regularly, once a week should be enough using some good antivirus software.

Went into microsoft..as suggested and now downloading and installing the CA Antivirus software which has a one year free trial period as compared to the others and removed the rest.
