I think Learning Ladder have a centre up that way.

Thank you for your advice. I have also heard about Learing Ladder, but the fee is quite expensive.

Welcome to Singapore. We are PRs living in Woodlands for the last 9 yrs, if you have problems settling in or looking for facilities, drop us a mail!

We have a 11 month old little girl Yasmin, what about you? How old is your child?

I will start working on May 22 in our SG office. My husband and I will come over next week for house hunting purpose (April 17 -19) and most probably we will take up the Woodsvale condo (walk distance to Admiralty MRT station). That's why I ask if there are any good kindergartens around Woodlands area.

My daughter is 3 years' old. Her name is Tuen-yi (Chinese name). We are from Hong Kong. Where are you from?

I guess the Woodlands area is pretty good as you have been living in this area for 9 years. Am I right? Any comments?

I choose Woodlands area just because the rental price is lower. My office is at Raffles Place. There are 15 MRT stations from Admiralty to Raffles Place and it takes around 40 minutes!

Hi,

I am from HK too and my wife is Malaysian. My whole family is over here. We came over before 1997 and liked the place. We are pretty close to the Singapore-Malaysia border, which is close to Woodland MRT.

Woodland is quieter and cool than other areas in Singapore. Plus the house prices is lower. The HDB houses here is so much cheaper than in HK and the quality is great. I have a few HK friends here marryed to local/malaysian wifes and they'd rather buy HDB when they become PR. We live in a 5-room flat which is around 1250 sq ft and it cost lesser than my brother's place in Tsuen Kwan O, a 500sq ft condo. His place is the same size of my kitchen!!

There is a regional liburary in Woodlands, near the MRT, you'll have no problem doing shopping as every MRT station is close to a shopping mall in Singapore and Woodland has the largest suburban mall in the North, Causeway Point and every mall has the same shops anyway in Singapore. Keep in touch when you have come over, may be we can have a HongKonger meet up!
