ok, the subject speaks it all.

how could i save a swf file?
i tried to right click to save it but the options are just "zoom in, zoom out, rewind, forward, about Macromedia Flash Player 8"

Wow... so interested in animation and graphics.

One possible way. Right click the swf and/or the link leading to it. Click properties and you should get a URL to the file. Plug this URL into a blank page and/or save it.

Doesn't always work... depends on how the server is presenting it.

it's very easy. You can look in your Internet Explorer cache for the SWF file.

But be aware that you cannot edit a SWF file, since it's a compiled Macromedia (Adobe) Flash file.

1. Open internet Explorer
2. Click on Tools --> Internet Options
3. Under "Temporary Internet Files", click on "Settings..."
4. Click on "View files"
5. Click on the "Type" tab to sort by filetype, then look for the SWF files.

yup, this is a bit complicated but good part is no help of 3rd party tools.

download a trial ware tool, that can grab all the swf files. that seems to be more easy.

Only go for that if you need a 'fla' format files ripped of from the 'swf'.

Install a download manager (eg. GetRight) and you should be able to download the url directly.

Correct, but considering Emiko's experience level, I think decompiling a SWF file to ge the FLA source, then digging around ActionScript with Macromedia Flash would be a bit challenging, hmm?

Nothing will seem simple till we dig into.

The most obvious way with Internet Explorer has already been explained, but, if you use the Firefox browser you can use the Page Info function from the Tools drop down menu at the top of the window.
I say to use this one, as if you opena SWF directly in the browser [ie. no container page enclosing it] you wont be able to right-click and select Page Info from that menu, but selecting Page Info from the Tools menu at top always works.

Anyway, when you select Page Info, a window pops up. Select the Media tab and scroll down in the window that lists the media visible on the web page, find your .SWF file, and click on the Save As button, and you can then save it to your computer.
