Hey there

We're looking forward to meeting you all when we move over in June - got to catch up with some of these beer sessions/barbecues/desserts outings and parties (if you let us of course?).

My partner has just told his kids that we are relocating to Singapore and they are quite excited (and of course a bit upset) about the upcoming move.

The plan is for them to come over and stay during the summer holidays 10 yr old boy and 2 girls of 13 and 14 (going on 23 and 24!!!). Any suggestions on what to see and where to go when they come over. It would be great to give them an idea of what they can look forward to so they can start investigating on the internet etc, hopefully it will make them feel like they will be part of it all.

Looking forward to all your suggestions and hope you all had a great Easter. I was working and it was crap!

Highland Chicken,

Cineleisure Orchard seems to be a place where my teens hang out...gaming, movies, eatries, etc. Great World City is another, although I'm not sure why, but I think it is near where some of their friends live.

Unfortunately, most expat children tend to go back to their home country during the June/July holidays to catch up with family, so not as many expat teenagers around. As the mentioned children really won't know anyone from the schools here, that makes your situation even more difficult. Check out the ages of the children in the condo where you will be staying. Get to know them and then you will have some other children your kids ages to introduce them to and they may know of places to go or may invite them along.

Good luck, it is tough at first, but mine seem to enjoy the freedom that they get here that they won't back home!
