Which words describe your home country?

Mine are.....

Green, Valley, Music, Rugby (no laughing pls) Sheep!, Beaches, Mountains...

Sub categories could be....Gossip, Chatting, Beer, BSH blokes, shaved heads, unusual substances (worldwide that one)...Auntie this, auntie that, unlocked doors, redheads and blondes, tall, short, chapels, rivers, litter on city streets, motorway, welcomes and tradition.....

But the first four are the most relevant, I think.

What about Singapore, Australia, NZ, The States, Holland?...(could think of quite a few there....mine would be....Tall, Orange, Carnival, Tulip, Cheese, Laid Back, Canals, three kisses on cheeks, Bitterballen ..excuse spelling........etc etc....)

dry, patchwork from the sky, bloody big, eucalypts, shining stars, empty beaches...

and... where the bloody hell are you??

the where the bloody hell are you, are the words on the come to Australia ad... perhaps it is still not on in Wales.

lol..........duh! Yes, it is.....but I must admit to wondering why they've got this lovely girl on a beach on her own, then she says 'So, where the bloody hell are you?'....seems strange to have a 'swear' word come out of such a pretty mouth....

No, know it's not really a swear word, just sort of surprises you....

It was and is a good advert in my opinion.

well Singers didn't have an issue, I see it on quiet often and it isn't censored.

I would use the following to described my loved and missed Mexico:

Tequila, Tortillas, Craftsmanship, Mariachi...

But there's definitively a song that perfectly describes what a beautiful country Mexico it is...Mexico en la Piel (Mexico in your skin). As not a lot of Spanish speaking people here I've done a translation I hope it doesn't take the essence...

With the color of sun in your body

As the good tequila from this land
Or as a friend in Yucatan
Threads from Aguascalientes

Some 20 odd words popped into my head.....but more and more poured in as I tried to summarise ...

Here goes - 'Vibrant Colours'

These two in my opinion, would be the best words to describe my homeland.

Festivals to classical dances,
Spices from the south to the fields of the north,
Places of worship to wedding ceremonies,
Sweets to chaats\chutneys.....
Bengal tigers to the camels in the deserts of Rajasthan

I can go on and on..

Its all about brilliant colours, my homeland......simply rejuvenating.

Yet, a humble tri-colour flag represents it and I only hope and pray that my country men and women truly understand and respect what those three colours stand for.

I can only try... I've had my fair share of miserable moments and someone always offers a kind word to try and make me feel better.

Remember it is OK to miss home, and you'll be back there one day and you'll be able to appreciate it so much more after the time away.

I didn't say it was a 'bad' advert, just surprising to see such a sweet little thing saying 'bloody.' Not that it's a bad word, of course it isn't, just a bit out of the ordinary. It's strange, isn't it, that the word 'bloody' when used in an unusual setting makes you listen, yet the words f***, s*** and any form of the God word is so much in use you don't often 'hear' it. No, that's not true, the word 'bloody' is common too, it's just that it IS very unusual to hear any perceived 'swear' word on an advert.

Can anyone else think of ANY advert where even the mildest swear word has been fully and openly said? I don't think I can.

Again, .....thought it was a lovely advert, all those lush places and the (also) hunky blokes.....sigh!
