Hello

Does anyone know of a company who will deliver dinner (I think this is sometimes called tingkat delivery) to the Central area? I've tried several companies (Select, First Catering, First Cuisine...) and no one seems to deliver to Central despite them saying they deliver island-wide.

Any help would be great.

That's sad Why advertise that you deliver island wide and not include the central part of the island. Sorry I can't help you.

precisely and kind of sad...i feel it's an untapped market...

The reason why is because delivery companies do not want to pay the ERP charges for coming into the central area - and even if the customer agrees to pay those ERP charges - it's still all too troublesome for the companies to make the trip "all the way" into the central area. Singapore isn't that big a city so I don't understand the difficulty in coming to central esp if the customer is paying the ERP charges. Not impressed...

There is in fact a business that delivers by Scooter, they don't make the food, but you ring in your order, they go and buy it for you and deliver it, they have a list of the best food places in Singapore. I'll see if I can find the website again and post the link! Found it!

I managed to find the following caterer who is willing to deliver to Central Area (Upper Cross Street). But they charge an extra $1 per day for ERP surcharge. Food is not oily and pretty decent Chinese food.

Try to google 'cuisine express' but without the e in express and with the words pushed together without a space. They deliver all over from a variety of restaurants.

We use dabao.sg - works pretty well for feeding large groups of people working late!

A friend pointed out to me the other day that Spize (the late night eatery on River Valley Road) delivers.

We've also used CuisinExpress, but mainly for parties. A bit of a hassle as deliveries from different restaurants arrive at different times.

Hey! I've tried them and they were pretty good! I live in the central area and they did not seem to have a problem delivering to me. I've ordered twice since my first time about 2 weeks ago and their food makes a nice change from eating out - pretty healthy and wholesome stuff.

The only downside is you have to do a bit of cooking yourself, but I didn't mind because my dinner was always "freshly made: and it didn't take more than 15-20 minutes anyway.

Besides them, I also order from http://www.thetiffinclub.com/ but stopped because of the pre-ordering requirement - I just couldn't commit!
