Hello all,

i am planing to marry my gf in singapore, she is a singaporian citizen and i am an Israeli.
i did have a working pass in 2004, and right now both of us are in america and probably will be for the time around the wedding.

I would be glad if people with some similar experiences can share some tips, things i should know.
maybe some nice wedding packages ideas for small amount of people.

we are looking at having the solemnisation followed by the chinese tea ceremony, and after that a lunch/buffet for the family which should be around 50 people.
then treat our friends (another 50 or so) to another buffet dinner and hang out.

all this in November 25th.

Much thanks in advance, Gideon

Been through this, although while living in Singapore.

As most Singaporeans book their venue at least a year ahead, you might not have much choice. We only started searching like 3 month before our wedding and most places where already taken.

I don't like hotel weddings, so we ended up in Burkhill Hall (inside Botanic Gardens) and it was fantastic. But I would not choose it if you have plans for 2 shifts of different people on the same day. Initially we had the same idea but merged everything into one. In fact we had everybody and everything on the same day (Tea Ceremony at her place, ROM and party at Burkhill Hall).
Other places we looked at for a similar arrangement are the glass hall at SAM and the balcony at ACM.

Good Luck!
