hi.

i am looking for an american lawyer based in singapore that can handle a civil case that is under US jurisdiction. i am posting this message on behalf of my friend . the nature of the matter is that concerning divorce; basically my friend wants to fight for her right in matrimonial asset and maintenance from her husband.

she is a singaporean PR who married an American. they also divorced while in america. her husband had not supported her for 12 years and according to her, her lawyer husband forced and deceived her to sign some documents which made him free from the obligation to divide his assets and support her. this happened because everytime she tried to read the terms of the documents thoroughly before signing it, her husband will get furious. her husband even psychoed her into signing it saying it will be good for her. thus , because she trusted her husband, she ended up signing it.he only gave her allowance for two months and disappeared after that.

now, after 12 years of struggle in rebuilding her life , she wants to get back at her husband through legal means. i would really appreciate it if anyone could refer me to a reliable attorney based in singapore that handle this case which fall under US jurisdiction. you can email me at : [email protected] .... many thanks if you can help!

Very hard to believe especially after so long! 12 years. NO way can argue back when the documents have been signed. Unless, your friend can be proved to be mentally ill at that time of signing. Otherwise, forget it!

I had an acquaintence with an old lawyer in Singapore. He is the ex-Singapore Law Society President. Because of a defamation case to LKY, he ran to U.S. to teach law in a reowned U.S. University as well as a practising lawyer. I met him again in U.S. once, that was last two year. If want to find him for consulation, I think I must talked to him personally.

But...
