Singapore Expats

Apologies if this is a question that's been asked before on this forum...
but does anyone have any experience in moving their belongings by door to door air freight into singapore? I'm a teacher so will be bringing lots of books - am worried that they will get tied up in customs as i understand they will be subject to censorship. Have i got this wrong? I also have tons of photocopied teaching resources - are these likely to get me into trouble?

I moved from Singapore to London and air freight all my books etc. There was no complications and although Singapore is very strict about its regulations, I don't think you would have any problems. As long as you can justify your reasons for bringing those in. Delays in custom do not take long.

The photocopied stuff may be a problem. But I'm just speculating.

Singapore doesn't really bother with censoring books. You can't buy ones that say nasty things about Lee Kuan Yew or are obviously pornographic in Sing, but Amazon deliveries from overseas are merrily ignored.

The photocopies might be an issue though if they look like copies of books -- are they, or is it just lesson plans and whatnot?
