Singapore Expats

I have done all I can...but just not able to crack this job market....I'm at my all time low here and my hubby is suffering coz of this.

Anybody, any idea on finding out media (broadcasting) openings? PULEASE

What do you have that the locals don't? Unless you can think of a really good answer, I'd suggest moving to a country which has freedom of speech and more than one state-owned TV company.

Hmmm, food for thought...I have experience and excellent work record and last but not the least Good English- both spoken and written! (NO OFFENCE PLEASE). Very much needed for Sales.

just a suggestion cause u didn't specify, but maybe instead of writing to the broadcasting company as a whole u could try zooming in on a certain area like maybe travel and living (if u haven't already tried that) cause most likely they might just let your cv sit somewhere.

Im pretty much in the same situation... am on dependant pass and been trying to find a job but all in vain..
leave aside a job offer I aint getting any interview calls even
really disheartened...

Altho' I haven't landed a job yet, I met some very helpful ppl. Apart from the usual route of answering ads and calling agents, try fixing meetings with relevant people and get their opinions. It has surely helped me in getting leads and now I have to wait and watch...with my fingers crossed!

Get the violin out!!! You will find work when your desperate enough, or you will leave the country. There is work out there, but not many free launches!!!

This must be the million $ question, that nobody knows! but at a guess I'd say 2 heads and 3 legs but seriously I think a little motivation and initiative would help, most people that are spoilt would wish to chose a position they like, those that are surviving will do most jobs to get by, even cleaning table tops.

Funny thing crossing the road today, I was being watched by several young lads in there school uniforms, Of course i broke the law, I always do it, because i wish to be free, from authority. Anyway, i crossed over and watched, how some of them wanted to do the same, the others pulled them back and walked to the bridge.

It crossed my mind how much survival instinct, the government takes away from these kids. Not only here, but in many other countries also, and I do see the point of safety. But really, even if there are no cars coming at all...... I mean my wife would stay there every time for the green man,,,, not to break the law. I question her answers quite often, and feel there is something missing, like the two words above.
