Hi all. I have just found a new flat in jurong.

Big and nice but no furniture. I need some to furnish up my new house but due to the high rent I am tight on budget.

anyone knows where I can nice (meaning no dirty and spoilt) 2nd hand furniture? or anyone wants to sell their things at low price?

Well, if you check the STraits Times classified under Garage Sales or Furniture, you are able to find quite a number of shops. I got mine from Best City. previously from them too.

I got all my stuff used, too, and in very good condition by checking some of the local expat sites. Seems people in Singapore have a superstition about used items, so when expats leave town...easy to get their stuff for cheap. The most expensive part has been having it moved from one place to another, so figure that in when you are bargaining for a lower price. Some have delivered, too.

Check out this shop in Chinatown. Here you can find a large collection of wooden furnitures e.g. Cupboards and other stuffs. They got tibetian design and lots of stuffs.

I've visited it and bought a small chinese statue. Got a little discount for mentioning the website name.
