Exchanging Loose Coins at DBS Bank

I have accumulated a large lot of loose coins.
What do I need to know about depositing these coins into my DBS account? Does the bank provide coin rolls for home rolling, and can I bring a jar of coins into the bank for them to sort and count? Are there other ways I should consider?

DBS will only take coin deposits on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They'll charge you $1 for the first 200 pieces or less and $1 for every subsequent 200 pieces or part thereof.
They gave me some plastic bags to put the coins in and have a coin counting machine rather than weighing so you needn't count if you can't be arsed.
As a tip try to take your coins to a branch that is not next door to a hawker centre. Most of the owners use POSB/DBS and have a lot of coins to deposit.

charging for deposits is a bit of a rip off IMHO. Coins, fair enough. I have to pay coins into the bank for school and it takes them ages to sort it all out, so you're paying for their time. But I paid in money using the deposit machine and still got charged for that..........which IS a rip off I reckon.
