Hi everyone,

One of my child is currently in Sec 4 doing O levels this year. I find that he cannot concentrate well and is not doing his work regularly. His results has been very poor. Im feeling tired in knocking some sense into him all the time, and despite that, he is not making any changes at all.

I saw some ads on the newspaper about those motivation camps that teach learning strategies and techniques which enhance the studying process.

Just to wonder has anybody sent your child to this kinda camp before? Was there any effect? How good are they? Any recommendations? I really dun want my son to fail his O levels.

We are discussing similar question in the tread "Student's potential are being limited". Lets discuss there? My last message there may address a little if your issue.

Basically, just my personal opinion, such camp that you see in newspaper does work, but not to everyone. The main issue is the enviornment of the children and who he is exposed to everyday.

Anyway, do read our discussion in the tread stated above and lets discuss and benefit the rest.

Hi pettycash, what subjects do your child have problems in? I do know for English (may be more but not sure), there is a private program that helps students who have a problem in remembering etc. Not too sure how it may help you but if you want, I know the school well thus may be able to refer you.
