SMS - the whole point of fighting Nazis in WWII and then fighting the Communists in the Cold War was to protect people's freedom. That means freedom of speech, freedom of the political ideology and freedom religion.
I have seen so many people on this forum, including you, criticize Singapore and its lack of freedoms then you say I am jerk for saying that a man should be allowed to wear whatever shirt he likes, whether you find it distasteful or not.
Unfortunately the price of living in a democracy is that sometimes we have to hear things we don’t like.

Apparently you did not read my reply closely. I agreed with you no problem. AND, as you have just said, sometimes you have to hear thing you don't like. I still think you are a jerk!. The price you pay for freedom of speech right?

I also think even he knew what it meant, he would have been quite within his rights to wear it.
two things - sitting on this high horse of yours ASSuming that others don't know some common trivia about temple symbols resembling Nazi icons, etc. you choose to ASSume on the negative side
secondly, argument for the sake of argument is a waste of time and some kind of shallow ego self-stroke - your last comment personifies this
if you think this is about rights, that may well be a worthy point and topic, but you've missed my point

I've never been ignorant about anyone's beliefs or churches nor would I nor was I in that post nor do I really have much of an ego
next time get your facts straight before you:

Someone thinks very highly of oneself on this mere discussion forum! This someone also thinks that others should not think but simply listen to what this someone says! I wonder if that's is the reason this someone has someone else's FOOT OR BOOT stuck in his mouth!
Try to listen to others too and don't let your shit ego destroy your ability to respect others on this forum. I wonder if you have any....I mean 'ABlity'.

"shit ego"

brilliant! ...whatever that is....
"try" reading old posts so you can speak with some authority on this - you'll find there are or were in fact people like you describe, and that you have them mixed up
you'll learn how credible and constructive posters still here like matney, WIMH, ringo, sapphire, Plavt, k1w1, Bremen, earthfriendly, Global Citizen, riversandlakes, Cheekybeek, Strong Eagle, jpatokal, bushbride, SMS, among many others earn respect for themselves, and like myself are very welcoming to new posters who have something worth contributing
these days I limit myself to 2 posts for timewasters
reading through your 8 posts made for some entertaining reading, you appear to be off to a rough, misguided start
only you can turn that around
