Does anyone have any idea which VOIP phones and service providers are good and reliable? And where can we register for one?

You don't need a VOIP phone, all you need is a fixed line, and a grandstream 486 box, connect your normal phone to the box, this is an ideal solution for businesses, with overseas calls. providing you have adsl connection, it will route the calls over the internet, without the Computer turned on.
You only pay if calling another fixed line or mobile at rates of 80% cheaper, mind you check wth provider on rates they do vary. If you are calling IP to IP it's free
