Hi friends..

My 1st anniversary is coming. Would love to hav some COOL ideas on which nice restaurant to go (good food and romantic). Would prefer western food, and my budget is about $100 per pax. One more thingy, what kind of gift to give? Wallets? Watches? Rings? SHirt? argh.. such a headache..

Could u babes/guys kindly giv some ideas?

My boyfriend took me to Flutes at the Fort (fort canning) and it was gorgeous- wonderful food and nice setting, we had a fantastic night. I think with wine etc it might be a little more expensive than $100 pp but I would say it's well worth it.

As for gifts- well I don't think anyone finds that easy! All I can say is I'd always rather something that took some thought, rather than just something flashy.

I like Halia in the Botanic Gardens a lot, and it should be within budget if you're careful with the drinks.

One more thingy, what kind of gift to give? Wallets? Watches? Rings? SHirt? argh.. such a headache..

When it's time to be intimate, wear your favorite lingerie and tie a ribbon around yourself;
go back to the bedroom and present yourself to him. tada!

jpatakal - Halia @ Botanic Garden? I din know there's a restuarant in botanic garden sounds cool.. wat kind of food do they serve in there, may i know?

shuriken - ermm.. i must admit that i am not the kinky type. i should say, i may belongs to the "boring" type of wife.. haha.. sexy lingerie n red ribbon may look funny on me. mayb i am not used to it..

Xbox 360? oh no no no.. that would mean more time spent on the xbox and less quality time spent with you.. lol. you must know his hobbies and interests. if he's outgoing, perhaps a digital camera. if sporty, some cross-trainers or a gym membership. if stylish, a new suit or a shaver.

his hobby is playing games. be it pc games, playstation games, etc.. tat is y, i m thinking of getting XBOX for him as a gift.. wat do u think?

"International", so it's basically Western but with Asian touches. Their soft shell crabs are mildly famous.

I'd say Flutes is modern/western. Really interesting dishes though, very nice. The dessert tasting platter was amazing too.

Personally, I would go with something more personal, maybe a few smaller gifts. Alternatively, what about tickets to a show or something you can both do together? But if the Xbox suits what he likes to do and you're keen on the idea I guess there's nothing wrong with that, most blokes would love the idea. [/url]

You're not going to get out of Lido for under $100/person, and for the price I found it a little hit-and-miss. Here's the review I wrote after my visit a few weeks ago.

hey! i've got a suggestion for ur gift. if u haf alot of his photos or photos of both of you, you may consider making him a video of the times both of you spend together. with a touching background music

Yep. We actually got a video of our childhood pics, dating pics & wedding pics. it is with a touching background & music.
