Agents Pretending to be prospective Flatmates

Maybe Im new to this but as Im an expat who is moving to Singapore soon I register on the flatmates wanted site here stating I was looking to share a condo. Well quite a few of the people that contact me are agents posing as flatmates!
I find this has been a waste of my time giving them info about me and trying to come to some comparison to see if we can live together, only to find that the person just wants me to send money for deposits and then fill a condo with strangers.
There needs to be some form of filtering of these people as it has really wasted time. In Australia if you advertise to be a flatmate or needing a flatmate that is what you get, not some ruthless agent telling you they want you to move in with them.
Have others had this problem?? :x :???:

Misleading Agents

I know what you mean and i also think i know a particular one you mean as he's got several posts all over the place.

Always state at the begining or the end of your post

NO AGENTS PLEASE!! UNLESS YOU WANT TO COLLECT COMMISSION FROM THE LANDLORD ALONE, NOT THE TENANT (ME)!!

If you are answering an ad, then when you call, the first thing you have to ask is ARE YOU AN AGENT?

Good luck.

Beware the Agent
