Dear all,

Does any1 knows how long it takes for SIA to process the employment pass application? Does SIA immediately submit your application once you've mailed them the completed form?

Is any1 in tis situation or was previously in tis situation?

Yeah, I got through the final interview 2 weeks ago and also went through the medical check on the same day. SIA says they will contact us by email once our work permit is approved which takes about a month.

For those who went for the final interview 2 weeks ago, please share with me if you have already received their reply.

Was the work permit form given 2 u at the time of final interview?

Yes it was. We were asked to fill up the form before going for the medical check. As for those who are still working, they were told not to resign first as they were afraid that they may have a problem with the work permits. Permits not approved and stuff like that.

Is there any Malaysian willing to share wat is the typical waiting period for SIA to get the employment pass done? Wat is the typical waiting period from the walk-in interview till the notification of the training date?

i'm not sure bout it but as far as i m concern,they'll notify us bout a month later after our medical check up done..
or perhaps it might take a lil longer..a month plus..
anyway,i'm still oending for email or call fr sia ..it had been 2 weeks fr my medical checkup date

From what i know. There r 2 types of permits for foreigners 2 work in Spore.(1) work permit (2) employment pass.

The 1st 1 requires less requirements & any1 can just easily obtain 1. For the 2nd, it requires higher requirements, ie: wage, quolification, years of relevant experience.

SIA usually applies employment pass for foreigners. I have filled & posted my application forms back to SIA around a week ago. I know the processing takes at least 2-3 weeks.

I really wonder do SIA submit application 4 us immediately after they receive from us? Or do they just throw it aside & submit whenever they feel like it.

Any1 who is a foreigner or Malaysian, who have already successfully obtained their EP & happily training in STC can share their experience in this forum? We r just helpless & no idea how it's gonna work out.

I had been waiting for more than 3months. There are many applicants, SIA won't apply the work pass for you immediately. You can send email to ask for your status. For my case, All SIA's replies are your work pass is still under approval. Please wait

Some candidates' work pass are already passed. One of the candidates were informed the failure of work pass without giving any reasons. Am I having a chance to fail?

So what are the reasons behind despite those serious offence

just received am email fr mary bout my diploma certificate.i've called her and i need to have a letter from my previous college to clarify that i had completed my dip level as the real cert is only ready for collection in Jan 2007..therefore,my work permit will be delayed.she asked me to get the letter as soon as poss and email to her so that she can apply for the work permit for me...

i submitted the application form 2 weeks ago.that was the day of my final interview.the girl told me we'll have to wait for bout a month.
just wait...be patient.
