Hi devi even my daughter is studying at GIIS in class P1 . we came from India only on Sep this year. Back in India she studied in a (CBSE) school at chennai. now I feel a drastic difference in terms of teaching method (not the syllabus) and standards. I want to know how other parents ie.whose kids a studying in a Indian school feel. particularly on the care, attention and nurturing for the kids. Now I feel (CBSE) schools at India is doing a very great job regarding this.

Even the syllabus is nice in India, nowadays the number of schools is very high. I do not beleive that all schools are providing good education in India.

I hate to disappoint but please check the list for Indian Schools in my link in the signature. You will find both BIIS and GIIS and they are different.

SMS, the link for BIIS in your signature is leading to a "up for grabs" URL. Bhavan's no longer operates independently- I believe GIIS has taken over what was earlier called Bhavan's International.

You could also add http://www.dps.edu.sg which is the website for DPS International, another school preferred by expat Indians.

soundmeister,

Thanks for the update. BIIS has been taken down and DPS International has been inserted in it's stead.

Hi

I will be moving to Spore in Oct. My daughter will be 5 years 10 months and in the 1st standard.

Would like advice on which is the best school.

GIIS...if so which campus
NPS
DPS

We are likely to live around Jurong....but are flexible depending on the school location.

Hi,

I'm new to this forum. We are planning to move to Singapore in early-mid 2010.

I just want to find out from the parents who have recently moved to Singapore, as to which school they finally decided on, for their kids. Would appreciate if you also give your reasons for choosing a particular school versus not choosing another school.

I'm a desi mom of 2 kids currently in 1st and 3rd grades.

Thanks.

We moved to Singapore last month and joined our son in DPS. He seems to like it.
Our cousins have been here for 3 years and their daughter is also studying in DPS.
