Advise Please

I will be working in the Thomson area, near the Polo Club. I do not intend to purchase a car but instead rely on public transport.
What are the nice areas, to live in a house, within 30 minutes commuting time?

hard to say, the whole area around Thomson and the Polo Club has a lot of private landed
property. Even a bit more towards town, you can find nice areas.
But as far as I recall from you previous postings, your budget is S$3k, correct? That is tough for a nice place towards town area. As stated in another reply to you, go cruise around Thomson area once you are here, you get a much better feeling of what and where it is nice. Little estates, hidden within can suddenly change the whole scenery. Also, you may find signs saying it is for rent.

i basically have 2 weeks to find somewhere to live when I get to Sing. And also find a hospital for my expectant wife.

don't worry, there's 2 great hospital in that vicinity.. thomson medical centre & Mt Alvernia
