Singapore Expats

I want to do Yoga classes in Singapore and interested in knowing where there are some, and not just an expat group but local stuff.

do u have a budget? i'm attending yoga classes in True Yoga...

the classes are great...

especially hot yoga... sometimes i even tend to fall asleep inside the class at the end of the session...that's how relaxing it can get....

Just do a search for Yoga Singapore on Google and you should get lots of options.

I am a member at True Yoga as well and it is way more of a local than expat place.

Art of living singapore has got good yoga classes. they are located on balestier road.

Approximately 8 weeks ago, I was dragged by my good friend and her hubby to sign up for yoga classess. Despite every grain of thought saying "You are going to ruin your friday nights because the classes are on Saturday morning at 9:00 AM", I signed up. I have to say after 7 classes, I am a happy camper. And I have just recently extended my sessions for the next 6 weeks.

I go to "Whatever" in Chinatown (Keong Siak Street). My class is a maximum of 7 or 8 people. The instructor is very knowledgeable and is able to give attention to each individual. She is patient and not to mention extremely flexible. And she is very good in giving step by step instructions and guiding you through the 2 hour pace of the class.

I prefer a smaller setting (its a personal preferance). It costs me 150$ for 6 classess (2 hours per class). That comes to about 25$ per class which I think is not bad at all.

which branch do you go to? yeah actually i see more locals there...

oh yes, i'm memeber of true yoga also, and it is more to explore. The OUB new outlet has the gym as well. A lot of different classes like body pump, cardio wave, salsa etc..

i spend a lot of times on yoga, almost everyday. It's not that i'm crazy but yoga really helps, it keeps my pain away.

You can try their trial class, have a feel on it before you decide which yoga center to join.

Besides that, there is Pure yoga at Taka, Gaia yoga, there is also 1 mostly doing the hot yoga class at amoy st. (Bikram hot yoga)

i'm interested in taking up the yoga teaching course, anyone can recommend which yoga center has the training?

dancing is my passion and i miss high school and uni days...

do u know any dance classes around? tango, rumba, salsa, street dance, jazz, hip-hop?

Hmm.. which True yoga center you attending now? I believe not the OUB center 1?

If u are looking into dance classes, the OUB has all you listed here but not rumba. =)

i just came bk from Power yoga, Street dance and cycle. =) feeling so tired now.

i attend in pacific plaza...

but i'm having second thoughts of continuing the membership actually...

it's bacause i really wanted dance classes in the first place...

as much as i can think of, pls go for a trial class at OUB, there have a lot classes, almost everyday. You can get a 14 days trial pass. if u want, i try to get the pass for u ? i got few last month and i gave to my friends =)

The dance classes never state on the website, they only printed on the paper. =) get one of the schedule and check whether the classes you like are on the list =)

i'm already a member of True Yoga, i attended a trial class before but the branch in Pacific Plaza doesn't have salsa maybe i can ask to be transferred to the OUB branch...

but i'm interested to know more about the l.a. dance connection because all nice dances are there...
