Hi,

Can any-one please give me the current turn around time for an EP?

My company has just submitted mine and would like to know when to expect a responce.

Did mine this past november and it took about 6 days to get a P1. I heard it usually takes longer.

A couple of months ago it took 7 days, and this time round it was 14 days. Probably took longer because of the holidays.

I got provisional approval after around 7 days, starting the process in early december.

Thanks to all that replied BUT are those business days or elepased days? Mine was submitted on the 27/12/06?

I think it was elapsed days in my case. It may take a bit longer as you submitted at the end of the year.

Mine was elapsed days covering just one weekend and no public holidays.

Does it really take that short a time? It says on the MOM webpage that it takes 4 weeks?

Obviously it can take anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks depending on the load and or vetting of information. Nothing in the government is carved in stone. I would assume in some cases it may even take longer than that.

Just filed an EP online and got approval in two days. Of course, must wait for Approval in Principle letter and such.

This is a best case example where the candidate has impeccable credentials, multiple years of high level professional experience, and very relevant job skills.

Expect longer processing time if your university is not on the list of recognized universities (will take time to investigate you), or if you have less experience or if you do not possess special skill sets. The more questions they have about you the longer it will take.

Mine took 3 days to be approved. Company submitted online on a Monday, approved on Thursday. That was in December and I was still in the US then.

2 or 3 days for me as well. too bad they spelled my name wrong on the contract tho and it had to be redone...
