I want to know whether male candidates need to have the water confidence test.And will male seperate with the female during the test.Because some people feel shy to wear swimsuit in front of other sex

No they will not seperate the females from the males during the test, they don't do that in the local swimming pool do they? You badly need to lose your inhibitions before applying for this job and don't worry about the young ladies here I am sure they don't bite - at least I don't think so.

In swimming pool,of course,but before swimming, I heard that all candidates need to stand in line, and be inspected whether you have scar.you need to walk infront of the inspectors, they will check your body, if male and female candidates do this part together, i am shy. I want to know whether male or female to be the inspector.

Male and female are seperated of course and on different days and different SEXUAL orientation. And yes, they will check for scars, tatoos on you, specifically on your hands and back before you go for the jump.

What is the point of this when nobody can see your back when in uniform. Have seen this mentioned before and asked the same question but did not get a satisfactory answer. The only part that makes any sense maybe is the hands.

back of the neck. When you bend down, your tattoo will be exposed from your neck.

This does not make sense, the back of your neck is not your back. In addition you should never bend down, you should keep your back straight at all times unless you want to slip a disc. Poster Gliny has an enormous cross tattooed on his back and was accepted.

I heard from some guys who went for their water-confidence test that indeed they are separated from the ladies. A man will check their skin (for scars, and I don't know what) instead of a lady.

Hmm, to try to answer Plavt's and many of ours and my own doubt... why are scars/tattoos covered by the uniform undesired? Hmm to ensure that the crew upholds the company's image at all times, even in civilian clothes on ground? Oh well oh well.

ahh cool.. well i;m not so worried if its a guy or a girl checking.. but am more concern as in which parts of the body.. they r looking out for scars ..

well.. if its a scar where its not visible while wearing the SIA uniform.. then no one should be disqualified for that..

agreed agreed. when we were watching the video, they made it clear that the cabin crew are to uphold the company`s image, whether on duty or off duty. when it comes to grooming to everything else. that`s why they make such a thorough check..

I doubt if having a tattoo on one's back would make any difference, apart from being invisible when in uniform, when off duty whose to know you are cabin crew unless you tell them? As I said elsewhere at least one male was accepted with massive tattoo on his back. Maybe somebody changed the criteria but there doesn't seem to be any reliable information regarding this.

i don`t know, i don`t work for the company and i certainly didn`t set the rules.. that`s only what i think. cos throughout the entire video, they keep on emphasizing the fact that cabin crew are to uphold the company`s image, whether on or off duty. perhaps i`m wrong?

the thing is, whether SIA accepts cabin crew with tattoo or not, it`s not up to us to decide. so, no point arguing here, right?
