Internship- Visa Questions

Hello all :) I am an Australian student, I am wanting to undertake an internship near the end of the year for roughly 4 month I would be paid a small amount of $600 a mth. I was wondering what visa I would require and how I would go about obtaining one. Also I will be deferring my semester so wont be activity enrolled at university- I am not sure if this would impact my visa application
