Singapore Expats

Hi all,

I am a 23yo Japanese male coming from the US.
I just came to Singapore about a month ago.
Trying to meet new people and go to new places.

Anyone up for a little get together maybe at a bar/club/cafe/anywhere to drink and chat and get to know one another?

To tell you the truth, I dont know of any good places in singapore yet so if someone could organize this it would be much appreciated.
This friday, next friday, any friday.

Anyway,, anyone interested??

me and swiso are planning something for Friday nite aswell... both new to Spore.... thinking about clark quay, but other locations also ok.... thread is in the events, gathering, making friends.... just check and let us know.
would be cool, if we get some people together.

umm why is it always clark quay?

thing is I don't, it's just clark quay is so far from me is all And I have never been there, what is there exactly? Bar? pub? club? restauarants?

its on the singapore River, lots of pubs, bars, u can sit outside or insight, should be pretty crouded on the weekend evening... never been there though.... so i would say lets give it a try !
for me it is also pretty far, but think its ok

Clarke Quay is a good night out guys and I have spent a fair amount of time there. Plenty of expats down there and locals too. Good fun. Thanks for the invite German Girl. I may be able to make it late on but will have to play it by ear. it's my birthday friday so already got a few plans. Am gonna be away for a while...till 5th March. off to europe snowboarding yippeee.. but, keep me in the threads, it would be good to hook up and meet new people... I've been around for about 7 months so know a few good places to go too.. cheers DP

Hmm, are you all closer to Sentosa? Want to checkout the St James PowerStation which are brand new and very unique..I think it is got 8 very cool club/bars in one place.

I've been to St James' once and it was ok at best.. My gf went a couple of weeks back with her friends and they all left early because the music was naff... it's a cooly laid out place though and quite funky.. lot's of different bars with different music.. let me know how it goes if you go there.. cheers DP.

I have been to sta James 2 weeks ago, it is a nice place, different pubs, some have better music, some are not so good... i remeber one, we went in and after 1 minute out again

well, it doesn't really matter to me, but think i'd prefer clark quay, as i haven't been there yet...

my way home is far no matter what... living in the east

so, lets make a decision, shall we?

how about attica in clarke quay friday night?

i went to zouk last week on friday. nice place. enjoyed it. didn't see too many other expats there tho. mostly locals.

don't know the place, but as i hardly know any places, let's try.
what kind of place is it? what music?

hey guys! i'm keen! been looking ard for pple to meet up this friday.. will it ok if i join u guys? clark quay sounds great!we could prolly go down to Brewwerkz for some locally brewed beer.. or there's a bar beside it which plays pretty good music.. =D
