Affordable way to learn like language (French & Spanish) in downtown? Any idea? I would like to attend some night classes during the weekdays.

Yes agree!!! it's really good for the beginners, a bit more difficult for the advanced level though, as they have to wait for enough people to open the level II etc...
otherwise you can try language one to one, like others who post on the forum, I find that 's really great, I ended up making a new friend, and practising French!

Yeap, I recommend the Alliance Francaise for French, the classes are affordable and they struture their lessons well....as compared to Cambridge where after 2 months of beginners, you go to Intermediate!!! and you cant speak to save your life!
You can also try myplt.com where you have your private lessons via Skype. Each lesson costs US20 or about SGD 33, which is really cheap for private lessons. Im currently learning Italian thru Myplt and its great

I enquired for french at Lingua school, and Cambridge ... i was told its $288 for 10 lessons.

Try NUS Extension in Park Mall. They have good Spanish class.
Or inlingua language school in Orchard - French Spanish Italian everything!
