Hi there loom or any current JAL crew,
can share with us hows life?
Im scheduled for the 2nd interview this Sun and is considering whether to go or now. First, im taking up a part time course now and needs to stay at least 10 days in spore monthly. Choose to try with jal cos i have heard that their schedules arent that busy as compared to SQ. However, i have heard that SQ can earn as high as $5k whereas the highest one can earn in JAL is $3.5. Any insiders care to share how true this is??

I think you may be in for big shock!

i always preferred jal to sia cos i tot easier job cos lesser job scope? lol. but i'm still gonna try sia this sunday!
i saw jal friendster and managed to see some of their pics. pretty girls in all the pretty scenery!!! *envy*

JAL isn't easier compared with SIA and you know what, you're doing more galley work than the FSS with SIA. Probably someone from within the ranks can enlighten you on that and you should probably change your mindset a bit to better prepare yourself.

Hmm...
actually i dun mind about doing more when onboard but pay and period abroad is definately important. Ulitmately i guess if the hours and job is the same, all will wana go for the higher pay one..
I prefer JAL cos i love japanese culture but again if SQ can pay so much higher, will go for a try on sunday.

JAL's sectors take about 6-8 days to complete whereby you will have some short flights inbetween. Pay scale wise, it starts from high 2 to mid 3 if I'm not wrong. SIA and JAL definitely offer different experiences because of the limitation of countries JAL flies to.

ya me too. i also do want to see the friendster ade too. can give us the link to go inside and see those pretty JAL crews which you mention. thank you so much!

This may not be relevant but if you are really into JAL, you should check out this Jap Drama : Attention Please!. Its about how this rock chick tries to be cabin attendent when the man of her dreams says he'd like to see her in a uniform.
It's hilarious and inspirational at the same time for aspiring stewardesses like us aye
