documents to be provided for employment pass

hello
my husband is relocated from Hong Kong to Singapore. We are from France. When his company applied the visa in Hong Kong, they do not need to provide documents translated by the consulate. It seems that Singapore does require that. Has anybody provided only documents with translations not certified or translated by the consulate?

In Singapore all certificates,docs etc. have to be translated into English language!

Hi Isac,
I had my documents certified and translated by consulate. My company collected my documents and arranged for the translation.
I would not risk it to have no certified tranlations. Singpaore is pretty strict with that I guess.

Germangirl, were the translations done in your home country or Singapore?
What I don't understand is that for documents that are already in English, they don't need to be certified true copy.

Hi,
I think they were sent to Singapore, but I am not sure, as my company was arranging it. I know it took a while until I got my documents back....
If you have original english documents then I don't know if it has to be certified.... doesn't really make sense. well, maybe one of the "singapore longtimers" can help you
...

Just check with the French embassy in Singapore! They will tell you who to contact...

Original documents don't need to be certified, only copies.
