Singapore Expats

Hello all!

I am arranging a get together for anyone that fancies it this coming saturday at the cafe del Mar in Sentosa. I decided that I liked the look of the place so much that it would be great to chill out on a sun lounger (or canopy bed if that's your style) with some great chill out music waiter service and pool / jacuzzi as well. So with nightclub sounds, sun and great company I thought we should have some fun. For those of you who have not been it's right on the beach and it looks great fun. It's enclosed, looks very classy too.....

So far I have quite a few definites on the list so what I need to know is who else fancies coming down?

The costs:
Return Cable car over to Sentosa approx $13
return Sky Lift down to the Beach $9

The sun loungers will be reserved for us but I need your definite confirmation if you are interested by Wednesday otherwise you may have to call them yourselves to ensure you get a space. Drinks / food spendage per sun lounger has to be a minimum of $100. So if some people want to share a sun lounger thats fine, but I am definitely having one to myself.

So if you are interested, please let me know how many loungers and which name to book it under. Either that or you can call them and book direct. Whichever is easiest!

Looking forward to seeing everyone there. It opens at 11am, so I was thinking for those who are going if we met at the Cable car building, just outside where they buy the tickets at 11am so we get there around 11:30am and get comfortable. That may be a bit early for some but jsut make your way over there afterwards if you are game. Roll on Saturday!!!!

Hey sarcasm is expected Rich!!! Especially with us being from England, we come to find we can;t plan anything because of the darned rain. At least its much warmer here....

I stay eternally hopeful that its cracking the flags this saturday and we can have a laugh and chill out.... In fact its going to happen.... Forget your brolly's - we can go dancing in the rain.... (So pleased i missed a word out there otherwise it could have gotten real scary)......

I would like to know Sentosa and Cafe del Mar, after reading so much about there, but I will hardly have all saturday free, but just in case....

What is the expected back time? Spend the whole day?

some of us were planning on playing some volleyball at siloso beach last week, but had to cancel, so thinking about this coming weekend, as we all weill be there allready, whoever feels like playing in the afternoon (arnd 4 -5 pm) is welcome to join !!!!

Major Update..... Change of plan and miscommunication (I need to get more practice at this).....

Anyway when I said sun beds they meant the big queen sized canopy beds.... When what I really I meant was the sun loungers (I need to watch my wording there). Anyway, it turns out that the ordinary sun loungers do not have a minimum drinks bar bill..... You just pay for what you drink. They don;t normally reserve them but they are for us.
There is a fashion show on at 4pm so we may have to give up a few of the beds...
But we will see what happens....

Anyway, I have heard from harold who is able to go over in his car (what no drinking?????) but can take 4 people over. I will go cable car if thats ok.... I need to arrange a time change to 11:30am on Saturday to meet at Cable Car ticket area. Text me those who can meet me there so I don;t wait too long.....

I will be going to Thailand for a week.
Going to leave sunday morning, but there are a few things I need to do on saturday to prepare for the trip.

Anyways, I hope you all have fun, and sorry for taking so long to reply.

Definately, i can't avoid working some hours on Saturday. As much as I could to was to choose which hours, but no chance for joining you.
