Hi,
Could somebody please explain me what is the easiest way to go to Johor Bahru airport.
I'll fly next week with Air Asia.
I go with my parents and my brother.
So we are 4. Can we go with a regular taxi ?
Thank you for your answer !!!

There are several choices but the easiest with four people is to get a JB taxi from their base opposite the Golden Landmark hotel. A JB taxi can take you anywhere in JB whilst a SG taxi that is allowed to go into JB is only allowed to take you to the base in JB town centre. Only a few local SG taxis are allowed to take passengers into JB!!!
Either way you will have to change taxi somewhere, either the base here in SG or the base in JB town. For me the easiest is to take a single taxi from the base at the Golden Landmark and take me straight to the airport.
There is a bus service from SG to the airport as well but it's a bit of a hassle, especially going through the border, and will not be a heap cheaper than four people in a taxi.

Anyone care to suggest how much time I should leave to get to JB airport for a flight, travelling from central Singapore, using the above method?
Would like to get a 7am flight - is this out of the question? I have no issues with leaving at 4am or whatever, as long as it's do-able...

Not sure we're talking about the same taxis, but at Queens busterminal are direct cabs (Malaysian) who will take you from Queens in Singapore to JB Airport for 50 sgd per cab.
Total travel app. 1 hour, they take the Tuas causeway, no jams.
So in your case, 7am flight, be there at least 45min before departure, let's say 6am, leave at Queens at 5am.

Great that's very helpful - is it possible to book one in advance, do you know?
Apologies for all the questions, but I'm new to Singapore...

As far as I understand, you cannot book them in advance, but you could always go to Queens and inquire.

If you've got RM160 to spare, you can book one of the airport limos (tel. +60-7599-1622) to come and get you. I've done it once from Sing and, with four people to share the fare, it wasn't too unreasonable for the door-to-door service. Make triple-sure you get the driver's contact info and that he's actually coming though...!
A cheaper option is to call up the Queen St taxi stand (+65-6296-7054) and ask them to arrange a two-taxi ride across the Causeway. This is cheaper (S$45 at last check) but slower and more of a hassle.
The most comprehensive listing of your options on the Net (AFAIK) is here:
