Electronics Price Compared to US

Hi,
I am moving to Singapore in May. So I am wondering how is the price of electronics there compared to US. If it is as expensive as cars, I better buy LCD TV and computers (Apple) and bring them to Singapore since the company pay for shippment anyway.

Pls take note of the voltage rating difference btw US & Singapore before bringing your electronic equipment to Singapore.

What voltage issues? all new computers and for that matter almost all electronics as well manufactured in the past 4 or 5 years are normally dual voltage by just changing a setting on the back of the unit. A desktop purchased in the US works fine here and vice versa.

sorry mah,
I was leaving my office and I posted the reply above then decided to delete it (mine). Guess I hit the wrong delete button. Very sorry. Please repost if you will. I deleted what I thought was my post and shut down the office PC and walked out without checking.

better buy from the US before going here, although electronics here in SG are cheap compared to others, those from the US are much cheaper... i bought a portable dvd from Fries for 99USD and its so cool and IPOD Nano (2GB) was only 100+... I also bought my hair curlers from Costco for 11USD, so cheap!
but yeah like what they said take note of the voltage...

Your so call euro-spec refering to the equipment or the voltage rating in Singapore?
