Any recommendation for a hair stylist? Where and around how much??would be best if he/she is from Hong Kong....thx....

sometimes for convinence i go to bugis for $10 cut...

I've recently got my hair cut... costs 273(plus dying hair colour, high lights{although can't really see it})

too expensive to do it all in Singapore... wish i can go back to HK where I can do the exact same thing for 1/2 the price and 100% more nicer~

Yep, salon in shopping mall is very expensive, cut hair around $100, if dying or perm ususally over $200.... if go to small shop in HDB will be cheaper but standard is vary and most of the stylist is women...

I happened to see this website last week,but tried to make appt based on your recommendation for marc chong at taka..but he is no longer with le salon already....any good recommendations for good hairstylist at le salon????

Martin Ip of le salon is also from HK.
I've tried and quite good. He's esp good at ladies long cut (This is what Daniel, one of the owner of le salon, recommended).
But a bit expensive....

you cut/highlight what hair? whole body ah? with that money, i suggest you go for shave it all off la, save money ahhhaha

I'm reviving this thread, because I'm keen on trying the haircut at Le Salon. Would anyone care to recommend a good hair stylist for guys? Thanks.

You can also try Augustine from Kelcure on Level 3 Paragon. He is from Malaysia but can speak cantonese. He does a very good job on colouring and highlight.

I also been trying, searching, looking for a good stylist for many many years also cannot find one can cut like HK salon, from most $$$$$ to $10 cut, they always cut very simple & boring hair style, so i give up, just cut my hair when i go back HK, so i can only cut my hair 2 times a year!!!!

Daniel from Le Salon used to cut my hair. I thought he was very good, better than Kim, until I had it done in Tokyo for 5000 yen (SGD 63 to 78, depending on yen fluctuation). The service standard is very, very high in just an average salon. The comfort level is at par with Le Salon. The girl even came around to give me a touch-up on my make-up for free (no tipping required). Then I realized that Le Salon has been a rip-off! Plus the tips we have to pay the staff....!!

But when I was in HK 2 months' back, I was very surprised that the outcome was nearly just as good in a Causeway Bay kind-of-rundown salon for a fraction of the price, though the comfort level was not comparable to Tokyo.

Singapore is becoming very expensive, unless you don't mind a $10 simple hair-cut. I'd go for that $10 hair-cut anyways since it's going to be almost the same standard in most places, unless you pay exorbitant prices.

Moonriver: Totally agree with you, when i go back HK to cut my hair i don't have a regular salon, just pop in anyone on the street, i also got a much nicer hair cut than here....
