anybody knoes wat this position is about? and its pay?

this is a recent opening for cabin crew in SQ. anybody knoes wat this is all about?

If i remember correctly, This is a post whereby current cabincrew with degree and certain years of service, interested to advance their career within the airline. They'll go through 6 mths on in-flight training on each rank, from Fss to Lss,to Css then Ifs... Even have a chance to be station manager overseas...

from what i know... cabin crew executive, if recruited within the company, the current flying crews sld have a certain amt of flying experiences with relevant education qualifications.

if recruiting cabin crew executives from outside the company, one must have a degree. when u are selected, u will undergo the same training as a trainee cabin crew, about 3 to 4 months of training. and then u will operate as a cabin crew (FS or FSS) flying for 6mths, after 6mths, u will be transfer to the office as ground crew, as a cabin crew executive. thus it will be a normal office job.

I agree with Irin - its a ground based job with some flying experience on the onset - this is to ensure ground crew understands flight crew work environment.

So basically why do they need ground crew? sorry, coz not too familiar with the airline's operations. Do they open up vacancies for such posts? Wat bout the part of being station managers? High chances??? Thanks!

how is the selection process like for those applying from outside of the company? fresh grad welcome?

best person to ask is HR. I dun hv any more info and dun wan to mislead anyone. I think this way is better because people at the ground understands how air crew feels, the work conditions, environment etc.

actually i am interest to apply this job, but after talk to one of my friends, i had change of my mind set. she is eks cabin crew executive.

SQ from outside is very glamours, fantastic and excellent company.
But from inside, its really shit working environvement. most the team leader is bitchy, back stabbing, unfriendly environment to work for. each cabin crew will be bully. as the cabin crew executive, you will get alot of shit from those cabin crews. u need to manage their roster, complaint, brief any info need to be know.

Even as leader, mostly cabin crew wont respect the position because the culture inside SIA is very bad. also, as a new people, u need to lead those cabin crew which has been work longer than you self. so, there is a big attitude issue inside. That why my friend can not tahan and quit.

But nothing to lose to try, but be ready with the environment. if you have steady job, i wont recommend for this position

I think your comment is quite uncalled for, and really demoralise these girls who wants to be a cabin crew.. I was a cabin crew with SQ for almost 6 yrs and survived. bitching is really mininum these days compared to many years ago.... end of the day.... ATTITUDE. If you can survive in the enviroment, u can survive ANYWHERE... Think about it.

Hmmmm,I heard from my friend that their pay is 7K..I'm not too sure,but definitely more than what a IFS for SQ is earning..
