Hello, I am going to sell my 4 year old Odessey. This is the first time I am selling a car in Singapore. Any tips I need to watch out for?
Does anyone know of a reputable used car dealer that i can take the car for a quote? Thank you in advance

Wish I could help you. Maybe someone will be able to do so.
My problem is the oxymoron: "reputable used car dealer"

Agreed with sms, but I think you'll have much less to lose selling a car compared to if you are buying from them.
Just do your homework, read everything there is to read about selling a car at lta and onemotoring website, do some google to find messageboards about selling cars in Singapore, and I think you'll be okay.
Additionally if you are trading in, then you can tell the new car dealer to take your old car. Some people said to me in the past that I'd get lousy deal, but it was not true on my last trade-in. I got almost 2K above the highest offer from "reputable 2nd hand car dealer", and I get to use my old car up until the time I collect my new one.
good luck.

Of course you will get a higher book value when trading in than just a straight sale. The dealer wants you to take the new car but he's not really that interested in yours, its just a means to an end.
Expect to get about 10% below market value if you go to a dealer only to do a sale. Dealers vary so shop around a few to see who will offer the highest value but there shouldn't be a whole lot of difference between them. The good thing about the car market in Singapore is that it is quite open. From the internet you can find out the listed depreciation on your car, the margin made by the authorised dealer at the time of sale so together with the CoE and PARF etc. the price then depends on the mileage and condition of the car, plus and minus.

Hi,
Any chance you would consider selling privately?? We are looking for an Odyssey to buy if the price was right.
cheers
