Singapore Expats

Hi All!

I've been reading through the numerous threads regarding Int'l schools, and would like some advice.

We are moving to Singapore from Perth, Australia in July with our two boys (Aged 3 and 5 1/2yrs). My husbands company has offered to pay for the boys schooling, which is a nice situation to be in, but has made my decision even harder to make. I was originally thinking of enrolling them at the Australian Int'l School, but they have a waiting list and I'm not fussed if my children do not learn Australian-based curriculum. I will be making a trip in a few weeks time to look at condo's, schools etc and I'd love to have a shortlist and some questions prepared. Any ideas?

The sorts of places that appeal so far are those with smaller class sizes (although my 5 yr old is currently in a class size of 24 which he seems to handle well), those with some form of sports facilities on site, those who offer the opportunity to learn another language (Mandarin is top of the list), and well, that's all I've thought of so far LOL

I know it's a fairly vague request, but any advice will be helpful.

if you are interested in smaller classes school, i would recommend dover court, but no mandarin classes. it is an international british school .

if you want your son to study mandarin , my recommendation is canadian internatioal school.

You really need to go through the lists of all the schools and see what appeals to you. there are waiting lists at almost all of them. This site has links to most of the websites. I am sure everyone here could tell you good and bad stories about most schools, same as back home.
