Anyone here working on websites, either a content site or service site, or selling some stuff online ?

I take it you guys have the product / business idea but not the technical understanding of how ecommerce runs?

There is quite a lot to understand about setting up a professional ecommerce site that the customer has faith and trust in.. also you have to think how you yourselves react to the customers request and promptly ship the product.

What if the customer says "I want that" and pays for it, but you are not there to react to the purchase for 2 or 3 days, or you do not have the stock in but did your customer who pays upfront is not aware of this because your site does not have stock control of any sort ...

I am not an ecommerce guy at all, but i have several friends who do build these sites on very large global scales and have picked up a few points along the way.

i have the same interest...

hello,

I think it would be good you give a bit more info on what you expect from people: do you have an idea? or do you have some experience?

running a webshop is not something you can improvise ;)

managing the stocks, the accounting, the payment system, the chargeback fees in terms of frauds... these are problems you can overcome.

now if you dont have any technical background it will be pretty hard for you to spot the good programmers from the bad ones and they will ask you to pay for things you can get for free (I was quoted 12 000 USD on a project by some programmer who wanted to integrate 3 free open source systems for me hahhaaha ;) )

I am not saying it is impossible. I am just saying it need you to think about ALL the problems that may arise. and most of the time they can be pretty complex...

You have one of those garbage websites that exists only to generate revenue from the google links. Your links go only to pages of google links. The sellers of these sites (I know you did not create it) have questionable business practices. I'd stay a long way away from such websites.

But do let me know if you get rich from such schemes.

Getting money of garbage is a form of high art. The internet makes it much easier though.

Looks like alot of ppl interested in internet market... do you think that we can exchange links? Or we should go by topic by topic?

I have removed your link to your website. It contains the 'read emails and get paid' scam. Leave the link off or face deletion of the account.

Do these people not know it is not at all about the website, but all about the business itself and how to market it?

A website is just a tool, nothing else.

You could also open a shop in the real world.

You think it would automatically generate business if you open the front door?
